Jesmona Old Fashioned Mint Humbugs are a smooth flavoured hard boiled sweet with a toffee centre. The namehumbug stems from the shape of the sweet and the Jesmona Humbug keeps to the "twisted pillow" shape that is a "humbug".
The Jesmona brand dates back to 1906 and to the North East of England. Dominated by the Black Bullet which has been a staple of the North Eastern confectionery market for over a century (a dark brown mint ball) the Jesmona range is made with no artificial colours or flavours.
In 2006 a number of 250g tins were added to the range: Pear Drops, Liquorice & Blackcurrant and Old Fashioned Humbugs. These were to be followed soon after by Orchard Fruits, Chocolate Fruits and Sherbet Fruits (the latter 2 of which were delisted in 2016).
A true old fashioned, quality, boiled sweet in a gift tin. A great gift for anyone with a sweet tooth!
